Leveraging Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) to train specialized, small language models, Dr. Pang showcased impressive reductions in errors and latency for coding tasks, as compared to more traditional methods. These advancements aim to improve the quality and reduce time spent on critical code agent tasks such as data schema generation.

The application of RL extended to automated testing, where the testing agents use a self-improving loop that creates and runs their own test cases, duly rewarded for increasing code coverage or finding a bug. This improves source code test coverage and bug identification before showing the built app to the user.
